“ I got pork katsu don bowl and the boyfriend got the chicken katsu don bowl. The chicken one was better. The meats tasted great on both, and the rice tasted fresh. The miso soup was alright, but the tofu inside it was really small. ”
“ Matsui has my favorite classic pork katsu with curry in the DFW area. They are remarkably consistent with their food quality, taste, and portions. Always freshly fried to a beautiful crispy golden brown. Always an adequate amount of meat. Lots of rice, hot and tasty noodles. The list goes on. Please give Matsui a try if you are in the area. You will not be disappointed. As a bonus, their weekday lunch specials are a great value, with a 1/2 serving of the entree and an included bowl of hot/cold udon/soba with rice for the price of a full size entree only. I've gone for lunch about five times at this point and have always left full and satisfied. Outside of standard mealtimes, seating is easy to get, especially around weekday lunchtime. During mealtimes the food court can get pretty busy, so seating may be a challenge. P.S they do have a small additional charge for takeout orders to cover the cost of to-go boxes and utensils. Not a dealbreaker but can be annoying if you aren't anticipating it. ”

“ Great little place for lunch. It’s inside Mitsuwa. Had their pork katsu combo. Comes with Rice, small side salad, rice and miso soup. They have many other selection of the menu. ”

“ I asked if the potato croquette curry was vegetarian friendly and they asked the chef and said no, so I got the vegan tomato udon with vegetable tempura. (My friend got the katsudon curry and loved it, said there was just a bit too much rice for the curry in her opinion) It was delicious! The tempura came with eggplant, kabocha, sweet potato, pepper, and more. The udon noodles were chewy and came in an oily tomato broth that was great, along with a little wakame, corn, and green onion. It was a good amount for the price and I would recommend this place in the food court! ”
